TJ Hoffman is an educator and social activist in Houston, TX. After nearly a decade teaching music in public schools, TJ now works in school administration. His passion for music education continues to drive him as he works to promote a wide-reaching, liberal-arts-based curricular model for students in public schools.

A strong supporter of public education, Hoffman believes that the only way for schools the be effective is for educators to act as advocates for their students in the political, economic, and social circles of their community. TJ believes in the power of educators to democratize education for all students by working to provide access to learning for low-income students and the children of lesser-served communities. TJ is committed to working for and in those communities as an educator and as an advocate.
